To say that Francisco Alvarez has high expectations for the Mets lineup would be an understatement.
PORT ST. LUCIE —
“I think we are the best lineup in baseball,” Alvarez said Monday on the report date for pitchers and catchers. “We have Petey. We have a little bit of everything. We have hitting guys. We have power hitters. We have everything. We have the best lineup in baseball, so we can fight with any team.” “Last year was my worst year and it was a little bit tough,” Alvarez said. “But I think this year is going to be great. Last year I lost my mind for a little bit. I think that’s normal. Everybody has to move past those moments. If I have bad moments here I don’t think it’s going to affect me.” Mets confident in low-cost rotation plan despite potential risks
