NSTnation: Four people were killed and two injured in a collision between a car and a tow truck at Jalan Mersing-Endau.
The deceased were identified as Mohammad Nurul Haq Mohamad, 22; Tengku Zahid Tengku Endut, 52; Kamarudin Salim Mualaf, 51; and an unidentified man in his 30s.The two occupants of the tow truck, aged 34 and 42, suffered minor injuries.
The Johor Fire and Rescue Department received an emergency call on the accident at 4.20am, and despatched an Emergency Medical Response Service van, a Fire Rescue Tender vehicle, and a Light Fire Rescue tender vehicle; as well as 22 firefighters from the Mersing and Endau fire stations to the crash site.
“The bodies were handed over to the police for the next course of action. We ended the rescue operation about 6.25am,” he added.Related stories
