A man was shot to death in eastern Fort Worth on Saturday night by a person police believe he knew.
Trace Hemphill, 31, was booked into the Tarrant County jail on a murder charge, according to the jail log. A judge had not set a bond amount in the case as of Monday morning; it was unclear whether he had an attorney.Officers responded shortly before 11:30 p.m. Saturday to the 5000 block of North Fork Road and found a man who had been fatally shot in his upper body, police said.
The home address listed for Hemphill in court documents is also in the 5000 block of North Fork Road though it was not immediately clear what his relation to the victim was.Lana Ferguson , Breaking News Reporter.
