Police arrested a third suspect in a shooting that killed a 23-year-old Fort Worth man in March 2020.
A home surveillance camera recorded the altercation that led to the fatal shooting, according to an arrest-warrant affidavit.
Sandoval’s arrest did not appear in online court records as of Tuesday afternoon. He would have been 16 at the time of the crime.The other suspects, Chad Burrell, 34, and Isaiah Story, 21, were both arrested on a murder charge in 2020. According to court documents, both men pleaded guilty to a lesser charge of manslaughter and were sentenced to 12 and eight years in prison, respectively.
Roberts died at a hospital about 7:15 p.m. March 6, 2020, after being shot in the 4300 block of Poinsetta Drive, according to Tarrant County medical examiner records. His cause of death is listed as a gunshot wound to the torso.. An officer wrote in the affidavit that three people approached Roberts, who was in the area working on a friend’s car, accusing him of firing rounds near Story’s home.
