A court has heard a friendship between a NSW junior police officer and a senior constable fell apart after he was allegedly assaulted at work.
A former Nambucca Heads police officer will plead guilty to one count of assault and one count of intending to pervert the course of justice.A Coffs Harbour court has heard that a junior police officer quit his job after being allegedly assaulted by his senior partner.
Mr Herraman said he was partnered with Mr Pocock in 2020 during his probationary period as a new police officer. The court heard the alleged outbursts became more frequent, with Mr Pocock allegedly punching Mr Herraman in the ribs in a similar incident where he was struggling with using the police computer system.
He said Mr Herraman had fabricated the assaults against him as pay back after rumours began to spread that he was having an affair with another police officer.
