Charles Waterstreet, a former NSW barrister, has been found guilty of sexually harassing two students and a job applicant by engaging in inappropriate behavior during interviews and in a lift.

Former NSW barrister Charles Waterstreet sexually harassed two students working for him or applying for a role in his chambers by watching a pornographic video in front of one young woman and showing another a sex toy during a job interview, a tribunal has found.

It said that “the psychiatric evidence, which we accept, indicates that Mr Waterstreet’s then undiagnosed and poorly controlled bipolar II disorder was the dominant causal factor in his offending conduct”.columnist, does not presently hold a practising certificate. A second woman, then a first year Juris Doctor student, responded in September 2017 to a job advertisement for a role at “Rake Chambers”, a reference to the popular ABC TV series featuringWaterstreet has described himself as “co-creator of the hit TV show RAKE”. But Roxburgh said in 2017 that Waterstreet’s only involvement in the series had been contributing one idea for a single episode in season one, which led to a “co-creator” credit.
