A former daycare employee at Discover Playtown in Maple Valley was arrested in May after two sisters claimed he sexually assaulted them.
Court documents say 25-year-old Joseph Jones was arrested on May 31 at his home in Federal Way. According to court documents , he was being held on $500,000 bail for rape of a child, child molestation , and communicating with a minor for immoral purposes.
On May 1, the 10-year-old told a relative who goes by "Grandpa" that Jones had molested her within the past eight months, all of it happening before her 10th birthday. Documents state eventually, they added each other on Discord, a messaging and voice chat platform, and shared explicit videos. "The background check for Mr. Jones revealed no criminal history, and we had no reason to believe he was unsuitable for employment in a childcare center," the statement said.
