Two former police officers who were caught stealing copper cables in Umlazi will be spending several years in jail. ECRNewsWatch KZN
Zwelihle Mngadi and Luvuyo Mbixane were sentenced in the Durban Regional Court on Wednesday, along with civilian Mandla Mgaga.
The trio was arrested two years ago after a Hawks task team from Umkomaas spotted a marked police van and white bakkie parked on the side of the road in Umlazi.The two former police officers have been handed 15-year sentences each, while Mgaga received 10 years.
