The Longhorns and Sooners will continue their longstanding rivalry at the Cotton Bowl next week.
Texas and Oklahoma came into the matchup with 4-0 records during the 2011 season. The Sooners had the upper hand in that battle, claiming a 55-17 win. Landry Jones led the Oklahoma offense with 367 yards passing, finding Kenny Stills and Ryan Broyles for three touchdown passes.This is the first time since 2011 that Texas and Oklahoma will enter the Red River Rivalry unbeaten. That year both were 4-0. OU beat UT, 55-17.
This will be the first time since 2008 that both teams enter the game 5-0. That year Texas won, 45-35, on way to 12-1 finish.
