The Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program will wrap up issuing benefits in Delaware worth up to $1,691 for the month of July in five days.
Eligible people in low-income households living in Delaware who receive SNAP benefits should see their payments by July 23. Delaware has a long window for issuing payments, lasting through the first 23 days of the month, starting on the 2nd.The amount received depends on the size of a family. A single household will get $281, and an eight-member household will receive $1,691, according to Delaware.gov.
When recipients will receive their payment depends on the first letter of their last name. The funds will be deposited on an EBT card, which can then be used like a credit card.Any amount left on an EBT card at the end of each month will roll over to the next month. As long as the card is regularly used, the benefits will not expire.
SNAP benefits can only be spent on food and nonalcoholic drinks. SNAP is active across all states and Washington, D.C., with benefits being loaded on cards.
