Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis said he is against requiring children to get mandatory COVID-19 vaccines, despite a recommendation from the CDC.
Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis on Thursday pushed back against a CDC recommendation that the COVID-19 vaccine be added to the agency's recommended childhood schedule.
"I get a kick out of it when people kind of compare it to and things that have been around for decades and decades," he said."Parents, by and large, most parents in Florida have opted against doing these booster shots, particularly for young kids."
