SEREMBAN: The flood situation in Negri Sembilan has improved slightly, with the number of evacuees decreasing and five of 12 temporary relief centres closed.
Earlier in the day, the number of victims at 12 centres statewide stood at 1,061.
Tampin remains the worst-hit district with 806 victims at six relief centres: SK Sg Kelamah, SK Londah, SMK Gemas, Dewan Besar Gemas and the Pasir Besar and Kg Tiong community halls.The only centre still open in Jempol is SK Palong 7, with 65 evacuees.Two centres in Kuala Pilah had been asked to stand down on Thursday . These were the Desa Dangi hall and SK Pilah.
