The National Weather Service issued a flood watch at 12:20 p.m. on Saturday in effect until Sunday at midnight for Western Chester, Eastern Chester, Western Montgomery, Eastern Montgomery, Upper Bucks and Lower Bucks as well as Carbon, Monroe, Berks, Lehigh, Northampton, Delaware and Philadelphia counties.
"Excessive runoff may result in flooding of rivers, creeks, streams, and other low-lying and flood-prone locations," states the weather service. "You should monitor later forecasts and be prepared to take action should Flash Flood Warnings be issued."Flash flood warning: Take action!
