Unseasonably warm weather continues with increasing rain chances through the weekend.
MONTGOMERY, Ala. - Central and South Alabama remain locked in an unseasonably warm pattern that will persist through the weekend as a wet weather system moves in. Rain and thunderstorms will become increasingly likely from Friday through Sunday, keeping temperatures well above normal.
This morning begins with patchy fog, but conditions will clear as the day progresses. Expect mostly sunny to partly cloudy skies, with warm, humid air building in. Highs will reach the low 80s — well above where they should be in early March.Partly cloudy skies will develop as moisture increases ahead of the approaching weather system. Lows will settle into the low 60s — still comfortable for a March evening. Patchy fog is possible again before dawn Friday.Friday morning may start dry, but rain and thunderstorms will become likely as a system moves toward central and south Alabama. The greatest chance for heavier rain will come during the afternoon and evening hours.
