Temperatures warm and rain chances rise by Christmas.
WSFA 12 First Alert Weather: Tracking cold temperatures this weekend. Plus a First Alert for rain chances by Christmas Day.MONTGOMERY, Ala. - It is feeling a bit more like December, which is perfect timing ahead of our official transition to the Winter season that will occur on Saturday. Not only was it near normal temperature-wise today, but it’s windy! That combo made it feel cooler than the number on the thermometer, but an even chillier weekend forecast is expected.
Thankfully we expect lots of quiet weather and sunshine for both Saturday and Sunday... temperatures are back into the 50s for highs now through the weekend, with overnight lows around or below freezing. This will be a brief cool down, as temperatures rise and rain chances increase by Christmas next week.
Christmas Eve will be dry with clouds building and highs warming back into the 60s. By Tuesday night, we expect mainly cloudy sky with showers around and lows in the 40s.
