Showers become likely before Easter Sunday and could stick around/impact your holiday plans

MONTGOMERY, Ala. - It’s starting to feel a bit muggy outside! While most people don’t associate the spring season with humidity, we need that moisture if we have any shot at seeing rain return to the forecast! While a stray sprinkle or shower cannot be ruled out through the rest of our afternoon and early evening, many towns remain dry with plenty of warmth in place; upper 70s and low 80s are common across the southern half of the state through sunset.

Watch the latest live and local weather data below, streaming on WSFA Weather Now! Please note, this stream does not include live severe weather coverage, only data on the latest weather conditions. Tuesday will be very similar to our Monday - one or two stray showers are possible, but most will be dry. All of us will be warm with afternoon highs climbing into the low and mid 80s after starting our morning on either side of 60°.Wednesday through Friday is when we are monitoring an increased coverage of both above average warmth and scattered showers... while it is not enough to guarantee it rains on everyone, showers will becoming increasingly more likely starting Wednesday and lasting through the end of the workweek. A few splashes of rain are possible each day... nothing major and definitely not a drought buster. Highs stay in the 80s for now. It does not rain all day and it does not rain on everyone, but could there be even more wet weather soon? While that is something we truly need, the timing might not be the best.Saturday will again feature a scattered chance for showers along with temperatures in the 80s. The best rain chance is late in the day and over our western Alabama counties. A cold front moves across the state on Sunday... yes, Easter Sunday. This will bring our best rain chance of the week; we do not expect any severe weather, but some rain and rumbles are likely. Continue to monitor your First Alert weather app for new information on timing and potential impacts to events, especially those that might be outside.5 of 6 suspects in 2023 Dadeville mass shooting plead guiltyCold front passes through our area tonight, but we won't see much rain...
