First Alert: Cool, dry today; storms return Tuesday night
MONTGOMERY, Ala. - A chilly morning is upon us and temperatures will have a hard time warming up throughout the rest of your Sunday. We’ll be seeing highs in the low 60s this afternoon. This evening we will be dropping into the mid to upper 30s.
Monday will start out just as chilly as we start our morning off in the lower 40s. Temperatures will warm up throughout the afternoon pushing almost 70 degrees in central and south Alabama. The air will remain dry throughout the next two days increasing the risk for wildfires. First Alert: Thunderstorms enter our area late Tuesday night into early Wednesday morning, arriving around 10pm in the far western counties and exiting southeast Alabama close to sunrise Wednesday morning. These storms have the potential to be severe. Powerful wind will accompany these storms, bringing a risk of spotty wind damage.
