First & 10: All eight number one seeds advance in 6A, setting up some entertaining matchups
Saraland won their 32nd consecutive home game last Friday after beating McAdory 49-14, advancing to round three of the playoffs for the fifth straight year.
The fifth-ranked Jaguars are having their best season in a decade, winning 12 games for the third time in their 22 seasons as a program and their fourth region title. This season ended a six-year playoff drought. The Jaguars are led by their own star quarterback in junior Brock Bradley. The Clemson commit is the 4th leading passer in 6A with 2,509 yards and 31 touchdowns to just five interceptions. He’s helped lead Spain Park to the 5th best offense in 6A, averaging 38.1 PPG.
Spain Park leaned heavily on the ground game in rounds one and two, rushing 45 times in each game for 285 yards and 300 yards respectively and nine total touchdowns. Crowley and Shanks have accounted for all the rushing production.
