Firefighters in West Bexar County are battling a house fire early Wednesday morning.
It’s happening in a neighborhood near Loop 1604 and Potranco Road on a street called Stable Glen Drive. Firefighters were called out around 4:30 a.m.
A woman who lives at the home said she believes a backyard barbecue is what started the fire, which spread to the house. She said all five people, two adults and three children -- all made it safely out. The woman said she also had several pets, who may still be inside the home.
