Jesse Taylor is to go before Houston County Judge Christopher K. Richardson on October 31, hoping Richardson will reverse his order keeping Taylor behind bars.
In a motion filed by his attorney this month, Taylor claims that his wife recently encountered medical issues and needs acute attention that he could provide as a trained medical worker.
Jesse Taylor’s legal problems began in March 2022 when Dothan police charged him with stealing several dozen vials of the highly effective, yet potentially deadly, painkiller from a supply closet at the fire department. According to County Chairman Brandon Shoupe, that ultimately cost EMA director Chris Judah his job when police arrested Taylor again, this time for intercepting the law enforcement messages.
