St. George police arrested Dustin Mont Campbell, 37, and Erik Klaus Reisner, 36, after finding firearms, suspected cocaine, psilocybin mushrooms, and other drugs during a search of their home following a search warrant. The search was initiated after officers smelled marijuana from the backyard.
Nineteen firearms, suspected cocaine and other drugs were found by police searching a St. George home, according to court documents. The two roommates, Dustin Mont Campbell, 37, and Erik Klaus Reisner, 36, were both arrested by the St.
George Police Department after officers received a search warrant to enter the home. According to court documents, two officers smelled the odor of “burnt marijuana” coming from a backyard while out walking on patrol on March 4.Man accused of transporting 100 pounds of crystal meth through Utah to pay off debtWhen officers talked with the roommates, they asked for consent to search the home and backyard. They were told no, so they obtained a search warrant, according to court documents. “A search of the residence and backyard was completed. Several items of marijuana drug paraphernalia were located in the backyard inside a smoker grill. Some of the drug paraphernalia in the smoker grill was accounted for by another individual at the residence,” the documents read. According to the Affidavit of Probable Cause, a search in Campbell’s bedroom led to officers finding marijuana products and plastic baggies. “Also located was a large glass container containing suspected ground psilocybin mushrooms. Officers later located in a roommate’s room a similar glass container containing the same suspected ground psilocybin mushrooms. The roommate advised that it is in fact ground-up psilocybin mushrooms and he received it along with some pills from Dustin as a ‘Christmas present,’” the documents read. Officers also found a safe in Campbell’s bedroom. “Dustin notified officers of the location of the key for the safe. Upon unlocking the safe, suspected MDMA or ‘Molly’ pills were located along with a large amount of a white powdery substance of suspected cocaine.”Officers also searched Reisner’s room and located “in the top left dresser drawer three rolled-up dollar bills, which rolled-up dollar bills are commonly used in snorting narcotics, mainly snorting cocaine.” The documents said that three bright orange pills with the Tesla logo on them were also found in Reisner’s bedroom, and in the closet 11 firearms were found. Searching the closet, officers allegedly found “an orange plastic baggie with a white powder substance of suspected cocaine and an orange plastic spoon with white powder of suspected cocaine. I field-tested the suspected cocaine on the orange spoon, which field-tested positive for the presence of cocaine,” the documents read. The two roommates were arrested and transported to the Washington County Jail.
