Sound Transit announces the last weekend of light rail service disruptions for the 2 Line integration and UW Station infrastructure improvements. Shuttle buses will replace light rail between Capitol Hill and SODO.

Light rail riders in Seattle are facing another weekend of service disruptions. However, there is some good news: this will be the final weekend of these closures for the current project. From Friday, February 14th through Sunday, February 16th, shuttle buses will replace light rail service between Capitol Hill and SODO. The shuttles will operate every 10-15 minutes, according to Sound Transit .

Train service will continue to run every 15 minutes between Lynnwood and Capitol Hill and between SODO and Angle Lake. These weekend service interruptions are necessary to complete crucial tie-in work that will connect the 1 Line and 2 Lines. Additionally, the work will focus on repairing overhead power at the UW Station. Sound Transit emphasizes that these weekend closures are essential for improving the overall light rail system and ensuring a seamless transition for riders as the 2 Line integration progresses
