Rochester , N.Y. — It was another tense dismissal Thursday at the Franklin Educational Campus, where a small fight broke out just one day after a police officer was assaulted on campus. Parents say they've had enough, and are calling on the campus to make changes to improve safety.
"Here, they don't come to learn — they come to make trouble," the mother said. "And look, they are fighting right now."A 17-year-old student who had been suspended for fighting was kicked off the Franklin Campus by school security, but continued to incite more fights, according to Rochester police. Additional RPD officers were stationed at the school Thursday as a precaution, but parents say they still worry for their kids' safety."I drop her off, I don’t go to sleep," said parent Jose Romero. "I stay until now, then when I go home, that’s when I relax — when she’s out of the school — but in the meantime, I’ll be here every day to pick her up early."
