A female detainee in a Quezon City police station had tested positive for COVID-19, a week after giving birth at Quirino Memorial Medical Center, the QCPD said.
The QCPD said the woman was arrested for illegal drugs on March 10 when she was still pregnant. She was detained at Kamuning Police Station.
Despite being asymptomatic, she had undergone a swab test for coronavirus on April 18. Her laboratory results from the Lung Center of the Philippines turned out positive on April 25. The QCPD said the woman was brought back to the police station on April 21 after giving birth.
