Angara tests positive for COVID19 again, docs consider possible virus remnants
Watch more in iWant or TFC.tv MANILA - Sen. Sonny Angara said Saturday he tested positive for the coronavirus disease 2019 again nearly a month since his recovery, but that nothing was yet sure as doctors were looking at possible remnants of the virus from his earlier infection.
"It has been close to one month since I recovered from COVID-19. But while preparing to donate my blood plasma for a second time, my doctors, after the results of the initial antibody test taken before donating, had me take another swab test, which registered positive," Angara said. Angara said he has returned to isolation and that he would participate in Senate duties remotely, with Congress resuming sessions on Monday.
Angara, 47, had announced on April 6 he had recovered from the contagious disease. On April 17, he posted a photo showing he had been reunited with his family.
