The federal government will have bipartisan support in defending its actions to block a Russian embassy from being built near Parliament House, says Nationals leader David Littleproud.
His comments come after Russia launched High Court action against Australia’s decision to block the future embassy from being established.
“The Russians have been afforded a right in our country to be able to challenge our decision in the High Court, that’s something, a process that wouldn’t be afforded in Russia,” he told Sky News host Erin Molan. “We are confident and working collaboratively with the government that we’ll win that court case in the High Court.”
