The Federal Bureau of Investigation raided the home of New York Mayor Eric Adams' fundraising chief, according to reports.
This reportedly happened as mayor was headed to Washington, D.C., where he was set to discuss the asylum seeker crisis alongside officials from other major American cities, including Chicago, Denver, Houston, and Los Angeles.
Reports note Adams suddenly canceled a series of meetings about the migrant crisis and headed back home. He posted a video on X, which is the social media formerly known as Twitter, aboard a plane on his way to D.C.
