Farhad Moshiri and Josh Wander responded to letters seeking clarity over the future of Everton from the Fan Advisory Board

Farhad Moshiri “remains confident” that 777 Partners is the right organisation to lead Everton into the future as their attempted takeover of the clubs drags on.

Both comments followed letters from Everton’s Fan Advisory Board expressing concern over the state of play at a club that has been in directional limbo since last summer and the potential owners, whose exploits have been shrouded in controversy. In response, Moshiri committed to engagement after Easter and, of 777, said: “I remain confident they are the right partners to take our great club forward, bringing all the benefits of being an experienced and well-connected investor, and their multi-club investment model. Securing the complete financing of the new stadium remains a priority and I can assure you from personal experience that 777 have met every ask that we have made of them to date.

Wander responded: “I am personally committed to meeting with you and having an open dialogue as and when our bid to acquire Everton FC concludes successfully. It is fair to say… none of us thought that this process would take over six months, as opposed to 12-14 weeks, as was our expectation.
