GoFundMe set up to cover funeral expenses for Aurelia Choc and her two children
THEODORE, Ala. — The surviving daughters of a murdered Theodore family are asking for help bringing their mother and siblings home.Aurelia Choc and her daughters are from Guatemala. The GoFundMe is asking for help raising $30,000 to bring them home for a proper burial.
Aurelia, her 17-year-old daughter Niurka and 2-year-old son Anthony were reported missing from their Theodore home Jan. 31. Thursday, the Mobile County Sheriff’s Office confirmed DNA found on bodies discovered in a wooded area in Baldwin County a little more than two weeks ago belonged to them.The GoFundMe was set up by the pastor of the three older, surviving daughters who are in Florida. Bringing the family back to Guatemala, including international transport and funeral services, is a cost the daughters cannot cover alone. The goal is to give their loved ones a dignified farewell, surrounded by family, in their home country of Guatemala. FBI, Homeland Security and the Mobile County Sheriff’s Office have all been involved in the investigation.
