A Rhode Island teenager said she's lucky to be alive after she was swept under a wave at Scarborough State Beach in Narragansett.
Angelina Corvese said she and her sister, Julianna, were swimming together Saturday when they were apparently taken down by a large wave.she accidentally elbowed Angelina in the temple while trying to regain control in the water.
Julianna said she grabbed her sister and pulled her out of the water while simultaneously calling out for help."The lifeguard didn't get to us until I was out of the water," said Angelina Corvese, who was rushed to Hasbro Children's Hospital. "I'm just glad I'm still here because my sister helped me. If it wasn't for her, I wouldn't be here right now," said Angelina."They definitely need to take more accountability and responsibility for what's happening," said Angelina's older sister, Veronica Butler.
