Families in Anchorage, Alaska, gathered at Town Square Park for the city's inaugural skater-tot event, braving chilly temperatures for a fun-filled evening of ice skating. The event featured a ceremonial puck drop by Mayor Suza LaFrance, free skate rentals and helmets, and hot chocolate to warm up. Organizers hope to encourage more community involvement in future events.
ANCHORAGE , Alaska - Families braved the chilly outdoor temperatures for icy fun at Town Square Park in Anchorage on Tuesday as the city held its first skater-tot event.
Once the opening ceremony concluded it was time to hit the ice. If children didn’t have their skates or helmets they were able to borrow some from the city.
