Dave Bronson, former mayor of Anchorage, Alaska, has been appointed as the new Airport Manager for Ted Stevens Anchorage International Airport. Bronson brings over 40 years of aviation experience, including serving as a B-52 pilot in the U.S. Air Force, a commercial airline pilot for Northwest and Delta Airlines, and a maintenance officer and C-130 pilot in the Alaska Air National Guard.

ANCHORAGE , Alaska - The Alaska Department of Transportation & Public Facilities announced Friday that former Anchorage Mayor Dave Bronson will now be the new Airport Manager for Ted Stevens Anchorage International Airport.
During his time as a commercial airline pilot, Bronson also served in the Alaska Air National Guard as the maintenance officer and C-130 pilot — rising to the rank of Lieutenant Colonel.from 2021 to 2024, a term that was defined by the COVID-19 pandemic and growing homelessness issues in Alaska’s largest city.
The DOT Commissioner Ryan Anderson expressed his feelings about Bronson in the press release, stating:
