FallMovie Interview: Grace Caroline Currey Reflects on Extreme Filming Conditions
star Grace Caroline Currey about the extreme filming conditions for the thriller and more ahead of its“For best friends Becky and Hunter , life is all about conquering fears and pushing limits. But after they climb 2,000 feet to the top of a remote, abandoned radio tower, they find themselves stranded with no way down,” says the synopsis.
I wanted to ask about the physical element because not only are you on this 100-foot tower, but you’re on top of a 2000-foot cliff, There’s crazy heat, you’re in the desert, and it’s windy. How do you deal with that and still put on such a great performance? I definitely remember reading it all in one sitting and just being so engrossed in the story, in the concept of getting to audition for Becky and a role that would be, it’s my first lead from start to finish. I’ve never had so much to do on a set across the board. I think when I read the script, and there were so many twists and turns, and there was so much activity that I would get to do if I got the part. I didn’t know if I was gonna have the part yet obviously.
Yeah. I have said this so many times and I will say it again. I cannot imagine filming that movie with anyone else. I just had so many times where I’d look at Ginny and I was like “I’m so thankful it’s you next to me.” Because we were up against so many odds just every day. A lot of the time we didn’t even make our day of shooting because of flying ant infestations, bee infestations, thunderstorms. Just, every day, there was something new, some sort of madness.
