City Council is currently entertaining the hiring of law firm Truax Law related to issues involving the Gemini Center’s competition and leisure pools.
The pending ordinance authorizing the hiring of outside counsel to assist the Fairview Park Law Department includes a maximum expenditure of $30,000.
Built in 2008, the Gemini Center natatorium has been closed for roughly two years after what began first as a leaky roof eventually included a leaky pool as well. In related news, Fairview Park voters on Election Day will decide a pool-related property tax increase.
