Geoff Robinson , the bassist for the Denver -based band Fables of the Fall, died on January 20th of undisclosed causes at the age of 44. Robinson had moved to Denver from Austin, Texas in 2019 where he played with numerous groups and singer-songwriters. A year later, he joined Fables of the Fall, a band known for its unique blend of dark, apocalyptic folk with elements of punk, chamber music , and metal. At the time of his death, the band was preparing for a pair of shows in New Mexico.
\Robinson's passing has deeply affected the band and the local music community. Bandmate Lindsey Gardner shared her grief and memories of Robinson, highlighting his cheerful nature, dedication to the band, and musical talent. She described him as the 'happy low-end bass player,' who held the band together with his creative and rhythmic lines.
