The Oak Park Chamber of Commerce hosted its annual health and wellness fair Sunday, drawing hundreds of visitors to the midday event intended to spread the word about available health resources in the area.

The annual Oak Park and River Forest Chamber of Commerce health and wellness fair was held April 21, 2024 at the Community Recreation Center in Oak Park. The new location did allow for some growth. While the majority of vendors remained in one room up on the second floor, the ground floor offered something new for fair-goers.

“Honestly, it’s everything from financial wellness to mental health wellness to physical wellness,” said Marion-Burton. “It’s everything in between.” Shana Taveras checks in Lyn Dupee during the The Oak Park and River Forest Chamber of Commerce health and wellness fair held April 21, 2024 at the Community Recreation Center Sunday in Oak Park.

“Wellness is a daily practice,” said the Rev. Adonna Reid. “When any one of those components is not at its best, it’s like a car when it has a flat tire. It can move, but it won’t move smoothly.”“We’re here because we want to get out into the community,” Reid said.
