Glasgow's vibrant food and drink scene is set to get even better with a slew of exciting new restaurants and bars opening in 2024. From popular Edinburgh bar Dropkick Murphys to social gaming concept Roxy Ball Rooms, there's something for everyone.
This year is set to follow 2024 with a raft of exciting new restaurants and bars arriving in Glasgow , and ranging from big chains to wee independents there are some exciting places to look forward to. Widely considered to be one of the UK's best food and drink scenes, our fair city is about to get even better with some more exciting places to eat and drink set to and in 2025.
While there is a wee bit of doom and gloom around at the minute for the hospitality scene due to the state of the economy, there is still plenty of exciting things to shout about. With top notch cafés, restaurants, vegan eateries and other food spots on the way, we've picked out some of the venues we are getting excited about for 2024. Dropkick Murphys, location unannounced A hugely popular bar in Edinburgh has teased a move across the M8 by announcing it is set to open a new venue in Glasgow. Dropkick Murphys, which is found just under George IV Bridge on Merchant Street in the capital, took to social media to tease the move west to its fans. The late night Irish bar and music venue, which is known in the capital for its raucous atmosphere and events, is open 7 nights a week until 3 am with live music. They've yet to confirm where they will open but it'll be an exciting addition wherever they go. Read more here Roxy Ball Rooms, Sauchiehall Street Roxy Leisure Ltd, which has 17 venues across the UK, has been given the green light to convert the former JJB Sports shop on Sauchiehall Street, bringing their “social gaming, food and drink under one roof” concept which has already had success in Edinburgh. No dates have been confirmed for the Glasgow venue as of yet, and it's been a long time coming, but we can't wait to see what they have in store.
