A prosecutor said Peter Griffin left SDPD in 2002 before he was to be terminated for 'multiple violations'; 11 years later, he started illicit massage businesses
As a member of the New York State Bar, Peter Griffin could have chosen many different career paths after working nearly 30 years for the San Diego Police Department. And for a time, he did so, first as a private investigator, and then as a Department of Defense police contractor in Iraq.
But Streja alleged Friday during the sentencing that Griffin's earlier career was not as distinguished as it looked on paper. 'He left SDPD in lieu of termination for multiple violations,' the prosecutor said. She did not provide details about his alleged misdeeds.
