West Yorkshire Police are investigating the 'murder' in Bradford
Detectives from West Yorkshire Police have cordoned off the junction of Westgate with Drewton Road following an incident which saw a 27-year-old woman stabbed in broad daylight. A spokesperson for the force said the woman died in hospital following the stabbing. A man fled the scene and has not yet been apprehended.
Anyone who witnessed the incident or has any relevant dashcam footage are being urged to contact police here or by calling 101 quoting the log number 1072 of April 6. Information can also be given to Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.Report Officers were called to the junction of Westgate and Drewton Road on Saturday, April 6 following reports that a woman had been stabbed by a man who then fled the scene.
Victim West Yorkshire Police says formal identification has not been made but the victim is understood to be a 27-year-old woman. Her family have been informed and are being supported by specially trained officers. "We understand that this incident will understandably cause concern in the local community, and I would like to reassure the wider public that we are working tirelessly to investigate this horrendous crime and bring the person responsible to justice."
