After scoring 19 points in Thursday's loss to Penn State, Ohio State's Bruce Thornton was analyzing 'every small detail' of the game.

Ohio State freshmen Bruce Thornton and Brice Sensabaugh's full press conference after a 75-71 loss to Penn State on Feb. 23, 2023.Immediately to his left, Bruce Thornton’s classmate and teammate was deep into an answer about Jalen Pickett. Brice Sensabaugh was one of many Buckeyes who tried to stop the Penn State fifth-year senior guard on Thursday night without much success, and as the freshman forward described some of their efforts Thornton’s gaze and mind were elsewhere.

There was the inability to stop Pickett, who scored his team’s last 14 points in the final 7:15 regardless of which Buckeye was matched up with him “It’s a lot of things that go into it, not just one little thing that makes you lose or win,” he said. “We’ve got to learn from it, keep getting better and move onto the next.”

Talk of the postseason and hopes for an extended early-March stay in Chicago are being saved for another week.
