New signing Iliman Ndiaye scored on his full debut as Everton put aside their poor start to the Premier League season to beat Doncaster and reach the third round of the Carabao Cup.
His start was one of six changes made by manager Sean Dyche, including full debuts for Jesper Lindstrom and Jake O’Brien. Ndiaye had set up Everton’s best chance in the first half – his strength created an opening for James Garner whose effort was blocked – and a superb second-half cross was not converted by striker Beto.
Attempt missed. Dwight McNeil left footed shot from outside the box is high and wide to the left. Assisted by Roman Dixon.
