Everton’s former chief Keith Wyness has claimed cash flow issues and the 777 Partners court case are “hurdles” the club faces in the new stadium project., the 66-year-old – who served as CEO at Goodison Park between 2004 and 2009 and now runs a football consultancy advising elite clubs – suggested around £30million of payments will be outstanding to builders Laing O’Rourke.
The development was initially projected to cost around £500million but is now expected to set the Merseysiders back more than £800million.
