Everton’s former chief Keith Wyness is hoping Dan Friedkin’s takeover will be completed before the end of the transfer window., the 66-year-old – who served as CEO at Goodison Park between 2004 and 2009 and now runs a football consultancy advising elite clubs – revealed he is expecting to hear news of the due diligence process being completed soon.
The US firm is currently doing its due diligence before it will have to pass the Premier League’s owners’ and directors’ test.Wyness suggested the necessary paperwork has likely already been filed with the governing body as the group looks to speed up the takeover process.“We are hoping that because it’s quiet everything is proceeding well. I’m still hopeful it’s going to be fairly soon in terms of announcing due diligence has been completed.
