A 13-year-old boy was stabbed while walking to school in Everett, Washington. Police are asking for the public's help in identifying the suspect. The victim was taken to the hospital for treatment.
The Everett Police Department is seeking the public's assistance in identifying the suspect responsible for stabbing a 13-year-old boy on Thursday morning. The incident occurred near Broadway and 25th Street at approximately 8:00 a.m. According to police reports, the victim was walking to North Middle School when he was attacked by an adult male. Following the stabbing, the victim was transported to a local hospital for medical treatment.
The suspect is described as a Black male, approximately six feet tall, last seen wearing a gray sweatshirt and a yellow beanie.Officers from the Everett Police Department responded to the scene and initiated a search effort involving a K9 unit and a drone. However, despite these efforts, the suspect was not located. Authorities have released several photographs of the suspect in an attempt to gather information from the public. She assured the community that police officers would maintain a heightened presence near North Middle School and all schools throughout the city for the next several days. Mayor Franklin also underscored the city's dedication to investing in public safety initiatives, including the implementation of new technologies and the recruitment of qualified personnel.
