Eva Longoria joined relief efforts in Los Angeles, packaging and cleaning up alongside organizations like NDLON, GEM, and This is About Humanity. She also pledged a total of $1.05 million to wildfire relief funds, including $50,000 matching donations to This is About Humanity and $1 million from her Bezos Courage Civility Award.
Eva Longoria is standing by her community as multiple out-of-control wildfires continue to devastate Los Angeles .On Wednesday, the actor and director joined several organizations—National Day Laborer Organizing Network , Global Empowerment Mission , and This is About Humanity—with packaging and clean up. The nonprofits are among the many organizations who have stepped up this month to provide aid and services to the thousands of people affected by the fires.
“My heart breaks for the City of LA and the devastating fires that have affected so many lives,” Longoria wrote on Instagram earlier this week, alongside a clip of her getting emotional while speaking about the fires. “I’m personally matching $50k to @thisisabouthumanity’s efforts to support frontline essential workers, farm workers, day laborers and families impacted by these wildfires. I hope we can come together and support these resilient members of our community.
