DAVID MUNDEE Eufaula High School has turned to a veteran assistant coach for its new head baseball coach.
The new coach is familiar with Eufaula’s program, having faced the Tigers the last few years while at Beauregard where he has been the pitching coach the last eight years. After finishing at Concordia, Murphy obtained his college degree at Auburn University in Social Science Education and started his coaching career.
“Being a pitching guy, we will pitch and play defense,” Murphy said. “We will throw a lot of strikes and make the routine plays . We will be very fundamental in trying not to give up extra bags. We will work a lot on that.
