Eskom said the anticipated recovery of emergency reserves and return of two units overnight will allow it to reduce load-shedding on Sunday, 25 February.
Eskom has announced that it will reduce load-shedding to Stage 2 from 05:00 until 16:00 on Sunday, 25 February 2024.
“This is a result of the anticipated recovery of emergency reserves overnight and the two generating units that are expected to return to service by Sunday.” “Kendal Unit 1 was taken offline on Wednesday at 20:00 due to leaking safety valves, which caused the capacity of the demineralised water storage tanks to run low,” said Eskom.
