EPF Jalan Raja Laut temporarily closed after visit by Covid-19 positive member

PETALING JAYA: The Employees Provident Fund (EPF) confirms that a visitor who came to its Jalan Raja Laut branch on Feb 27 has tested positive for Covid-19.

It said the branch would be temporarily closed to facilitate the disinfection process and reopen on March 16.

"Presently, we are unable to confirm if the member was already infected at the time of the member's visit to our branch," EPF said in a statement Tuesday . "All counters and other surfaces are continually cleaned throughout the day. In addition, all counter staff are required to wash their hands every 30 minutes. As a further precautionary measure, members must undergo mandatory temperature checks prior to entering any EPF premises.EPF also advised members to apply via i-Akaun for transactions that did not require face-to-face contact with its personnel.
