A press release issued moments before the start of Wednesday night’s regular City Council meeting declared that the council and Antil had “amicably agreed to end Antil’s employment contract” and that it was effective immediately. “During her tenure, Ms.
Wednesday’s announcement came after two closed door meetings regarding Antil’s contract, including one held Wednesday afternoon. At that second meeting, the council voted 5-0 to accept the mutual contract termination agreement, the city attorney announced at the start of the regular council meeting. Until a new city manager can be hired, Assistant City Manager Jennifer Campbell will serve as acting city manager, the city announced.
Initially, when she was first hired by the city in fall 2020, Antil had a contract that called for her to receive a severance package worth six months’ pay. That was later increased to nine months’ pay when the council approved her latest two-year contract in 2023. Her current base salary is $309,758. That figure includes a raise the council unanimously approved for her this summer.
