As viewers of the ITV show will know, two characters were left in a life-threatening situation after a barn fire started in tonight’s episode. Before the blaze began, Caleb wrongly told Cain that Moira and Nate had kissed. After confronting his wife, Moira said that Cain was being “paranoid and ridiculous” however he continued to have his suspicions due to Moira and Nate’s previous affair.
Ruby then arrived at the farm to confront Moira and seek revenge as she revelled in the heartbreak that the false claim had caused her. As Ruby started having a go, Moira could be seen zoning out with a can of fuel in her hand. Moira has been experiencing strange symptoms for several weeks, and while in the barn, she could be seen hallucinating as she thought that it was Emma Barton standing in front of her, not Ruby.
Moira shot at the light in the ceiling and sparks flew out, settling the fuel and hay bales alight. Ruby tried to grab the gun from Ruby and in the scuffle, Moira knocked her to the ground. On X, formerly known as Twitter, @aintnocoleslaw said: “What kind of send off is this for Nate as a character #emmerdale,” and @NatalieCox101 added: “Think this is where we say bye bye to Nate #emmerdale.”
@man18united said: “#Emmerdale Poor Moira is not well, the penny has dropped on Ruby,” and @SG902110 wrote: “Moira has a BRAIN TUMOUR!! There’s no doubt about it with these symptoms #Emmerdale.”
